Parent Letter
I will never forget the day that my son called and said, Mom, I want to be a Sig Ep. That is the only fraternity that I want to be a part of. I remember smiling because when I went to school at Missouri State, I thought the Sig Eps were the coolest guys on campus!
Sigma Phi Epsilon has been a wonderful experience for my son. The fraternity gave him a strong support group when he first started school at Missouri State, and the grade point expectations encouraged him to study to make grades to go active. I believe that has helped him to remain a good student and carry well over a 3.0 his entire time at Missouri State.
Membership in the fraternity has been good for my son both socially and academically. Being a Sig Ep has helped my son gain confidence and has made him take part in more activities both on and off campus. The Balanced Man philosophy of Sigma Phi Epsilon promotes the idea of well rounded young men. I know that my son took part in extra-curricular activities like the Special Olympics and Relay for Life because of the fraternitys involvement. Sigma Phi Epsilon has impressive records in academics, athletics, and philanthropy, and that makes them leaders on campus. They are still the coolest guys on campus! My son is proud to be a Sig Ep, and I am proud to say that I am a Sig Ep Mom!
